| JENNIFER BAO YU "PRECIOUS JADE" JUE -STEUCK, a Chinese Adoptee from Laguna Beach, California, is the founder of Chinese Adoptee Links (CAL) International (est. 2006). A graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and Harvard University, where she was a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Scholar, Jennifer is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Transnational Adoption Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Jennifer serves on the Board of the International Adoptee Congress and is a Director of Families with Children from China (FCC) - Greater San Francisco / Northern California (www.fccNCalif.org). A freelance writer, Jennifer's work has been published by St. Martin's Press, Thomas Gale Publishing, and the MIT Press. She is looking for a **Producer** for a project she completed last year, LEAVING GRAND CENTRAL, a feature film script for a romantic comedy about an Asian adoptee in Manhattan. Current projects include CHANCES ARE: A GUIDEBOOK FOR GLOBAL GIRLS WITH GREAT IDEAS (forthcoming, May 2008) and CALLIE CABLE & THE TIME TWISTER, a YA (Young Adult) novel (forthcoming, 2008). Jennifer is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI), and is the proud older sister of Chris, her Korean adoptee brother.
