DR. AMANDA L. BADEN, a Chinese Adoptee based in the
New York metropolitan region, is a licensed psychologist
specializing in transracial adoption and a professor at Montclair
State University.  New York Congressman Jerrold Nadler
heralds Dr. Baden as "an outstanding example of someone who
has made a critical difference in the lives of children through
work on adoption issues."  Dr. Baden is a member of the
American Psychological Association and of the American
Counseling Association.  Her recent publications include
HANDBOOK OF ADOPTION, IMPLICATIONS FOR
RESEARCHERS, PRACTITIONERS, AND FAMILIES
(Sage Publications, Inc, 2006).  Dr. Baden serves on the Board
of FCC (Families with Children from China - Greater New York
Chapter), and is a regular contributor to adoption-related
publications.  Among her many honors, Dr. Baden is a recipient
of the Angels in Adoption Award (2005) from the Congressional
